BOOST Workshop

I recently had the opportunity to work with an organisation called BOOST. BOOST is a local organisation consisting of young entrepreneurs who are transitioning from students into the business world as young professionals. Two members of BOOST joined us for a Finternational event to give a presentation on start up businesses. The presenter explained his experiences in the business world and explained that for any entrepreneur, trial and error will dictate your success in the long run. An entrepreneur needs to persevere and build up experience gradually. The main focus of the event was to help us develop ideas, so we divided into groups and formulated an idea which we would then present in front of the class. Our idea was a communication platform between students who are planning on writing a thesis and companies that need research for a specific product they are developing/ have developed. The idea applies directly to the healthcare field that we are working in. I thought the workshop was helpful for future endeavours that require the development of ideas.
