Ruissalo

Ruissalo is situated very close to Turku and offers a variety of activities. Firstly, there is the possibility to do small hikes around the Island, you will be able to view the other islands as well as enjoy a pleasurable walk through the forests.

There is also a spa hotel located on the southern part of the island, which you’ll pass if you take the number 8 bus to Ruissalo. I did not stay in the hotel, but I have used the hotel sauna and pool facilities which are quite good. I would say there are better saunas around, but this one is convenient if you want to see Ruissalo and then have a nice sauna afterwards.
